For people working at Atlas Copco, care for the environment has always been part of the company culture. In addition to
implementing environmental management systems in all of our operations, environmental concerns are given a high priority in
our product development.
A Group Environmental Policy has been adopted to guide the Group in these efforts. The ambition is to become - to be recognized as - and remain, the industry leader in the application areas served by our products and services. The environmental dimension offers a tremendous opportunity for developing our competitive advantage for the future.
All operations in the Group shall implement an environmental management system, and we continuously improve the environmental performance in our manufacturing sites using the guidelines in ISO 14001, which has been implemented practically everywhere.
Atlas Copco's products and services have an impact on the environment and it is our duty to minimize this, while using less resources, for the benefit of our customers, communities, employees and shareholders. After all, a product has a greater impact on the environment over its useful life than from its manufacture alone. To contribute to a better working environment for our customers, our product development makes environmental and ergonomic aspects an integral part of the process.
We believe that Atlas Copco is taking the right steps in it's environmental work and are pleased to report that all companies in the Group have the same commitment to preserve the environment for future generations.
